Has any one taken the P&C test in insurance? Did you pass or fail? What is the hardest questions on the exam?

I am in the class now and my employer has said " he will pay for the class the first time but, if I fail I will have to pay untill I pass" Anyone that has taken the test PLEASE HELP !!!

Has any one taken the P%26amp;C test in insurance? Did you pass or fail? What is the hardest questions on the exam?
First, you are taking a class so you are already ahead of the game. The teacher (or teachers - when I took the class in NJ there was a different teacher for each section - property/liability %26amp; law %26amp; ethics) will help you to understand the most important parts so that you can pass the test. Only one person failed the school test the first time %26amp; he was allowed to retake the school test before he sat for the state test. 100% of my class passed the state test on the first try (even the one that failed the school test the first try %26amp; we were worried about him - our whole class took the state exam on the same day in the same place).

When I moved the material was self study, no class. Luckily I only had to take the law portion which was only 50 questions since I was already licensed in another state. I found this harder but I passed on the first try.

Word of advice, read the questions carefully, there are a lot of "double negatives" - which I found in both tests. Example: Something is NOT covered except when.... This is really similar to how policies are written so I can see why they do it but it can be confusing. Don't overanalyze, eliminate any answer you know is wrong (the tests are mutiple choice) %26amp; then go with your gut, most of the time it is correct. Don't change an answer unless you are POSITIVE it is wrong, your first choice is usually the correct answer. Sometimes a question further in the test will give you the answer to another one.

Also, some tests are more commercial, some are more personal, it is the luck of the draw. I was lucky in my first test, it was more personal. The law is the same on both sides, luckily I didn't get many workers comp questions.

Good luck to you. When you go to take the test, get a good nights sleep, have a good breakfast with lots of protein %26amp; try to relax.
Reply:I've taken lots of P%26amp;C tests - we are going to need to know what p%26amp;c test you are taking.

Are you taking an agents licensing exam or an adjuster's exam? What state?

Or are you working on a professional designation like AIC or CPCU?

Most likely no one will be able to give you questions - often these tests are computer generated and the questions come from a bank of thousands. But if you let us know what test you are taking, we may be able to help you with what areas to focus on or test taking strategies.
Reply:the test is not that hard as long as you understand it. the hardest part for me was about the workers comp and commercial insurance, since that is not something that we come across on a daily basis.
