How do the doc test for hepatits c?

is there any way i can know i have it at home?

How do the doc test for hepatits c?
There are a series of blood tests that need to be performed to confirm a diagnosis of Hep C.

The first would be HCV antibody test. If positive/indeterminate then further testing for the presence of HCV viral particles ---- it is possible for someone to contract Hep C, create the antibodies to the Hep C, and clear the virus.....but they don't necessarily clear the antibodies which is why confirmatory testing is needed.

There is no way to do these tests from home.
Reply:you might as well head to the doctors office and have him test simply because if your home test said it was positive, you would have to go in for further testing anyway.

good luck!
Reply:you have many tests to determine hep c infection. the sample is blood and the usual test done is the ELISA test.
Reply:blood test
