Hepatitis tests look for an antibiody you create, not the actual virus. On the 0.01, don't worry about it, a lot of lab tests are like that, I'm not sure why, but it doesn't mean you have Hep C or could become Hep C positive soon.

Basically, the test showed you didn't have Hep C, and depending on how long ago the exposure was, you're probably clear. If it's been %26lt;6 months, I'd get tested 6 months from exposure date, and if it comes back negative, you're good.
Reply:no test can say a clear 0.0. anything under %26lt;10 means the lab could not determine a postive result.

just be careful in the future and you will not get hcv.

(do not share anything that may have someones blood on it!)

good luck!
Reply:That's just the way it's set up to account for what might appear as a mild reaction. Of course you could contract hep C in the future but that would have nothing to do with this test.
