What are the contibuting factors on a 13 stand DNA test to determine paternity? Are they different with each c?

has had a buccal swab test done with grandson...it was determined he was not his child because the supposed father only matched 10 of 13 ..seems wrong determination to me..there has to be some % of paternity.

You could always have another test done with a different lab and compare the results.I am pretty sure that atleast 12 out of 13 markers have to match; there are several DNA sites online that discuss how paternity is established with this type of testing. "Good luck"
Reply:I'd go ask someone who specializes in DNA to get the best answer.
