Blood Test for Hepatitis C for Dubai Resident Visa?

Hi,

I am a Pakistani and have recently landed a nice job in IT in Dubai. I wanted to know that do they check for Hepatitis B and C befpre granting resident visa and health card to expatriates?

I know that they do test for HIV for sure and i am HIV-ve but i have never been tested for Hep C or B so I wanted to confirm beforehand rather than face embarrasment and chaos at the spot!

Right now i am getting conflicting opinions on the web. Most of the resources I have found say that indeed Hep B and C are tested along with HIV and TB before granting visa and health card but there are some that say only HIV and TB are tested! So i am confused.

Please confirm. Thanks a lot.

Yes, Hepatitis C is one of the diseases that they check for before hiring anyone. It is done in all GCC countries. They only take blood once and check it for all the related siseases.
Reply:Yes as u said they do chk for HIV, but for Hep B %26amp; C its depend on hospital to hospital. I remember Irani hospital in Al Wasl road only chkd for HIV.
